Casino inspectors inspect casino cards and dice, observe casino operations to make sure all regulations are being met, and he will observe inspections of gaming equipment. Casino inspectors or “gaming inspectors,” are responsible for placing gaming seals on approved slot machines, checking licenses, testing devices, and receiving and processing grievances and disputes. The casino manager oversees all operations of the casino, as well as accounting and overseeing the casino staff. Salary ranges from $2,900-$3,800 per month. The assistant casino manager oversees operations of the casino under the direction of the casino manager. Assistant casino managers typically earn $2,400-$3,100 per month.
Casino dealers oversee roulette, black jack, and baccarat games and earn $1,900-$2,600 per month plus tips. Casino dealers have excellent advancement opportunities. Most are promoted to assistant casino manager, then casino manager.

To become a member of the casino staff on cruise ships, applicants must have most of the same qualifications as they would for land-based casino jobs. For management and inspection positions, most cruise ships prefer an associate degree or higher in a technical field, research, legal/law, finance, hotel management or accommodations, or other related field. Applicants must also have excellent reporting skills, excellent computer skills, and investigative and analytical skills.
For dealers, you must have experience working in a land or sea-based casino and an associates degree may be useful, For slot technicians, you must have extensive experience with installing and repairing slot machines and you must have a certificate or technical degree in a mechanical or electrical field. Cashiers must have accounting, and cash-handling experience, preferably in a casino or similar environment. Customer service experience is useful as well.
Casinos Hiring Dealers
All casino applicants must also be 21 years of age, speak fluent English, have a clean criminal background, meaning, no felony convictions, and they must pass a drug test. Identification is required as well and the only acceptable forms of identification are a passport or driver’s license.

The Human Resources Department is typically located at the cruise line’s headquarters. This information is usually listed on the cruise line website.
